Senior Backend Engineer - Devex Platform

You'll join the platform team, a part of the DevEx group, which is responsible for orchestrating the CI system to enable fast and safe code delivery. You'll also develop essential tools, including the internal authorization system and integrations with third-party services.

In your day-to-day, you will

• Plan, design, build, and maintain our systems while working closely with Wix developers to improve their day-to-day experience and eliminate velocity killers
• Build and maintain highly scalable backend services providing unique CI/CD experiences to support Wix’s code
• Create infrastructure systems as needed by the DevEx group
• Design and implement integrations for internal and external systems such as GitHub, Artifactory, and more
• Handle complex engineering challenges, such as locking mechanisms, orchestration vs. choreography, and more
• 5+ years of experience in server-side technologies with in-depth understanding of SOLID principles
• Skilled in debugging and investigating production issues and recognizing bad code
• Good knowledge and interest in microservice architecture
• Familiar with software engineering anti-patterns and best practices (testing, code reviews, immutability, scalability, etc.)
• Highly collaborative, open-minded, thorough, proactive, and responsible
• Familiarity with the CI/CD world and Scala - an advantage

We are Wix’s Infrastructure Developer Experience team. We have a suite of developer productivity tools that serve our 2,000 engineers. We believe that we can better support Wix engineers by connecting our products across key engineering workflows to boost efficiency. Our main focus is currently DevPortal, the front-end product of all our CI/CD offerings. This pluggable platform will allow all of our engineering teams to build and customize whatever they need to improve their day-to-day development experience. As a group, we generate 8K builds and 600 deployments per day.

Salary range is 5000 - 8000 Eur GROSS / month (Total compensation, including RSUs package)
