Privacy policy

This policy explains what ArbeitWithUs LLC (“we”) collects when you use arbeitwithus.org, why we collect it, and what you can require us to do about it. It covers both visitors to the site and the job postings the site indexes.

Who is responsible

What JobHabor is

JobHabor is an index of job postings that employers have published on their own careers pages and applicant-tracking systems. We are not a recruiter, we are not the employer, and applications are never submitted through this site — every apply link sends you to the employer, where their privacy policy applies rather than ours.

What we collect

When you browse

Our servers record the request: IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page, and your browser’s user-agent string. This is ordinary web-server logging. We use it to keep the service running, to diagnose faults, and to detect automated abuse. Logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Cookies

We set only the cookies the site cannot work without. There is no advertising network on this site, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you or to track you across other sites. See our cookie policy for the specifics.

If you create an account

Accounts and subscriptions store your email address, a hash of your password (never the password), your subscription and trial status, and any searches or alerts you choose to save. Saved searches are the filters you selected — they are stored so we can re-run them, and they are visible only to you.

If you subscribe

Payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not receive or store your card number, and card details never touch our servers. We hold only what is needed to know whether your subscription is active, plus the invoices we are legally required to keep.

Job postings and the people named in them

The postings indexed here are gathered from pages employers publish openly. A posting occasionally names an individual — a hiring manager, a recruiter, a contact address. Where it does, we process that information on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a job index, balanced against the limited privacy impact of republishing what the employer chose to publish. If you are named in a posting and want it removed, write to privacy@arbeitwithus.org and we will remove it.

Our legal bases

• Performance of a contract — operating your account, providing the subscription you paid for.
• Legitimate interests — running and securing the service, indexing publicly published job postings, and preventing abuse.
• Legal obligation — retaining invoices and tax records.
• Consent — where we ask for it, such as optional email you can withdraw from at any time.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We do rely on service providers who process data on our instructions: our hosting provider, our network and security provider, our payment providers, and our email provider. Each is bound by a contract limiting them to what we ask of them.

Where it is processed

Our servers are located in the European Union. Some providers may process data outside it; where that happens we rely on the transfer safeguards permitted under applicable data protection law.

How long we keep it

• Server logs: a short retention window, then deleted.
• Account data: while your account exists, and a short period after you close it.
• Invoices: for as long as tax law requires us to keep them.
• Job postings: indefinitely as a record of the posting, though closed roles stop being shown.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before you did so. Write to privacy@arbeitwithus.org; we will respond within the period the law allows.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. We would rather you told us first, at privacy@arbeitwithus.org, so we can put it right.

Employers

If you are an employer and want a posting or your whole board removed from the index, write to contact@arbeitwithus.org from an address at your company domain and we will remove it and stop crawling it.

Children

This service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights we will say so more visibly than that.
