Whats the role about?

The Business Intelligence (BI) team arms Sprout Solutions with the means to make data-informed decisions at every turn. This includes BI tooling and infrastructure as well as thoughtful analysis. Youll work closely with each part of the business, Marketing, Sales, Onboarding, Customer Success, Support, Product, and Finance. You will be responsible for leading a team that will help internal and external stakeholders understand and monitor their performance, investigate trends, identify anomalies, draw conclusions from data and develop insights that assist in optimizing opportunities and drive the business forward.

Key Job Functions

Data Management

• Analyze internal and external data related to existing business processes, capabilities, and metrics
• Support departments with reporting and dashboards
• Provide meaningful insights using data analytics and technology with the aim of making clear and concise recommendations to increase operational efficiency (e.g., cost reduction, revenue growth)

Project Management

• Collaborate with key partners and cross-functional teams by conducting qualitative discovery exercises such as interviews, focus groups, observations, process mapping, and review of metrics
• Lead the project team members to successfully complete all phases of a data analysis project, including but not limited to: Planning, Data Collection, Data Cleansing, Analysis, and Recommending Solutions

Stakeholder Management

• Consult with Sprouts business leaders and other stakeholders on business operations and performance initiatives
• Craft easy-to-consume narratives and visualization and actionable insights from complex concepts with advanced data visualization and presentation skills
• Present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ experience in data science or business intelligence, preferably with people leadership and development experience in the SaaS or similar fast-paced industry
• Experience in business, strategy and/or tech consulting would be an advantage.
• Data visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio or similar tools)
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills coupled with strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
• Ability to use data and metrics to test hypothesis, confirm assumptions, generate insights/recommendations, and measure success
• Can partner across a wide array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to extract business insights from large datasets and use them to drive business change.
• Self-starter with a strong passion for using data to influence business decisions and strategy investments.
• Proven impact and influence skills - ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, integrate disparate opinions into cohesive strategy/message and present/defend recommendations.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment
• Experience in cross functional collaboration and working in matrixed structures
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment
