Job Overview

The Senior .NET Developer will design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications across both modern and legacy .NET environments. This role requires strong hands-on experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET AJAX, C#, SQL Server, and modern .NET technologies while supporting long-lived applications and evolving them through modern development practices.

Job Duties

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET technologies.
• Develop and enhance applications using ASP.NET 4.x, ASP.NET AJAX Web Forms, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET.
• Maintain and enhance legacy applications using C#, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Develop user interfaces and application components using HTML5, CSS3, Razor Views, Razor Components, and Blazor.
• Build and maintain applications using Telerik AJAX controls and Telerik Reports.
• Design and implement data access solutions using SQL Server and Entity Framework Core.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and application integrations.
• Apply layered/N-Tier architecture, Repository and Specification patterns, and Dependency Injection.
• Deploy, configure, and support applications within Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Use Azure DevOps, Git, TFS, and Visual Studio throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement application logging, diagnostics, monitoring, and troubleshooting solutions.
• Develop and support background processing through scheduled jobs, hosted services, Windows services, and Azure-hosted equivalents.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement application enhancements, fixes, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ramp up quickly within complex, domain-heavy codebases and contribute to long-term application support and enhancement.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET AJAX and .NET Framework 4.x.
• 1+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core / modern .NET.
• Demonstrated success in long-term contract engagements.
• 8+ years of experience with C#.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
• 5+ years of recent experience with ASP.NET 4.x Framework.
• 5+ years of recent experience with ASP.NET AJAX Web Forms.
• 2+ years of recent experience with Telerik AJAX controls.
• 2+ years of recent experience with Telerik Reports.
• 5+ years of recent experience with Internet Information Services (IIS).
• 1+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core / .NET 8.
• 1+ years of experience with Blazor (Server and/or WebAssembly).
• 1+ years of experience with Razor Views and Razor Components.
• 5+ years of experience with HTML5 / CSS3.
• 8+ years of experience with SQL Server.
• 1+ years of experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with Layered / N-Tier architecture.
• Experience with Repository and Specification patterns.
• Experience with Dependency Injection.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards).
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with TFS.
• Experience with Visual Studio 2022 and 2026.
• Experience with application logging and diagnostics using Application Insights or an equivalent solution.
• Experience with background processing using scheduled jobs.
• Experience with hosted services, including Azure Container Instance and Container Registry.
• Experience with Docker Desktop.
• Experience with Windows services or Azure-hosted equivalents, as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting and enhancing long-lived enterprise systems.
• Prior government or regulated-industry experience.
• Exposure to Azure App Services and Azure SQL.
• Ability to ramp up quickly in complex, domain-heavy codebases.
