Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using Python and React
  • Design and maintain relational and NoSQL databases
  • Develop and optimize database objects including schemas, indexes, and queries
  • Collaborate with product managers and design teams on domain workflows
  • Implement, secure, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Manage cloud services including compute, serverless, and object storage
  • Optimize front-end and back-end performance
  • Write clean, testable code using type hints and modern Python tooling
  • Lead architecture planning and code reviews
  • Work AI-first using AI coding tools to produce and validate code
  • Contribute to new product builds and modernization across regulated verticals

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional Python full stack experience
  • Experience with modern web frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask
  • Experience with async patterns and Pydantic
  • Solid React experience
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design and query optimization
  • Working experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB
  • Hands-on cloud experience on AWS or Azure
  • CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Hands-on AI-first development experience with Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or JetBrains AI
  • Strong fundamentals in software design and testing with pytest
  • Strong communication and ownership in a remote environment

Preferred

  • TypeScript experience
  • Exposure to .NET, C#, Node.js, or Go
  • Experience in a high-velocity R&D group, innovation lab, or startup
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered features like RAG or agent frameworks
  • Experience with vector databases like pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate
  • Familiarity with Python data and ML ecosystem like pandas, NumPy, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
  • Prior work inside regulated industries
