What you will be doing

You’ll be responsible for providing support and maintenance on center servers, routers, switches, and software in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential functions

• Install, modify and make minor repairs to computer hardware, software systems.
• Perform user account management and training for center staff in compliance with Data Center policies and procedures. Provide technical assistance for system users regarding center accounts.
• Act as administrator for CIS by providing setup, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Act as phone system administrator, set up and change phone features; troubleshoot telecommunication problems.
• Monitors annual budgets for the management information systems department. Initiates and tracks invoice payments. Prepares ITARB packages for technology purchases.
• Organize and administer information technology projects. Provide updates to the management information systems manager.
• Maintain accountability of information technology property and provide tracking documentation to the management information systems manager.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to staff and students. Prepare related reports.
• Setup and maintain all Gallagher physical security system configurations for the center and maintain keycards for staff. Provide support for the security department regarding student keycards.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Associates degree preferred in computer science or related field and three years’ experience.
• Directly related training or technical experience in network administration may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
