This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, modern technologies improving the hospitality industry around the world! As a Senior Manager Quality Engineering SDET, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Quality Engineering team reporting to the Director of Quality Engineering, you will support projects including automated testing initiatives, test framework modernization, CI/CD quality integrations, and continuous quality improvement efforts across enterprise applications.

What you'll do during a typical day

  • Provide domain expertise on automation test strategies and technologies while supporting the development of automated testing solutions for multiple software processes.
  • Define and oversee test design and execution activities, including monitoring, measuring, and reporting defects, test results, and remediation efforts.
  • Manage execution of QA, UAT, and post-release testing to ensure the quality of software applications.
  • Develop, and set goals for direct reports while providing technical leadership to Quality Engineering team members.

How you'll collaborate with others

  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering Managers, Development teams, and DevOps team members to improve testing processes.
  • Partner with team members to prioritize work, plan testing activities, and address quality-related challenges.
  • Participate in planning sessions, testing reviews, defect evaluation discussions, and quality readiness meetings to support successful software delivery.

Projects you'll take ownership of

  • Lead the implementation of automated testing solutions and automation integration within CI/CD processes.
  • Research, develop, and initiate advanced automated testing methodologies that enhance quality, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen testing capabilities.

What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Six (6) years of experience in large digital delivery projects.
  • Four (4) years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
  • Experience leading technology transformation efforts for web applications
  • Lead technical projects in a matrix environment through influence and teamwork
  • Balance multiple platforms, teams, assignments, and priorities
  • This is a hybrid role and would require to be near our Memphis office location
  • Travel up to 15%

It would be useful if you have

  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Ten (10) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Experience with test architecture, assertion libraries, test runners, test methodologies and general quality engineering practice
  • Experience with monorepo architecture
  • Experience with version control
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience using AI in application development
  • Experience mentoring team members and providing performance feedback
  • Prior experience as a developer operating as an individual contributor

Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package to support their mental and physical well-being, so they can Thrive personally and professionally. The pay range for this role is $120,000 – $160,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
