Sr IT Analyst / Java – Hong Kong

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our Calypso Development team in Hong Kong. This team supports a wide range of business areas across Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and Equity Derivatives, working closely with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Production Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance functionality within the Calypso platform to meet business requirements
• Work closely with users and stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver solutions
• Investigate and resolve production issues related to Calypso
• Optimize system performance and improve existing applications
• Participate in system integrations and migration projects
• Follow development best practices, including version control, testing, and release management
• Prepare technical documentation and support materials
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java
• Experience with Spring Framework and SQL databases
• Good understanding of enterprise application development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working directly with business users and gathering requirements
• Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with Calypso
• Banking, capital markets, or financial services experience
• Knowledge of JBoss/J2EE environments
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
