Responsibilities

  • Drive architectural evolution of Nightshift
  • Build reliable backend systems
  • Design orchestration backend for LLM interactions
  • Develop high-performance integration pipelines
  • Build agentic framework for Nightshift
  • Solve reliability and scaling challenges
  • Partner with ML engineers on agentic workflows
  • Design robust APIs

Requirements

  • Clean, performant code and production-grade backend systems
  • Proficiency in Python or TypeScript (Node)
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries
  • Strong database confidence with PostgreSQL, OLAP Databases, and Redis
  • Strong product instinct and customer feedback experience
  • Experience with microservice-oriented architecture and designing for scale
  • Experience with agentic patterns
  • Experience with OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini APIs, prompt engineering
  • Bridge unstructured LLM outputs and structured internal services
  • Proficient with AWS services, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and CI/CD build tooling
  • Thrive in 'zero-to-one' environments
  • Experience with LLM evaluation (LangSmith/Langfuse), vector search/RAG, or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
