Design and implement microservices and event-driven components in Java
Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and transactions
Build resilient, observable services on AWS
Ship with strong CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions
Leverage GitHub Copilot to accelerate high quality delivery
Ensure reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
Implement security and compliance controls
Own production operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering standards

7+ years of professional backend experience with Java
Strong with Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot and Spring Data
5+ years of professional experience with Angular
Exposure to Python for tooling and automation
Proven expertise with PostgreSQL indexing and query tuning
Hands on AWS experience with ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, S3, SQS, SNS, MSK, Kinesis, or CloudWatch
Solid API design experience with REST or gRPC
Production grade observability experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana
CI/CD experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
Practical use of GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants
Experience building fault tolerant distributed systems
Proficiency with Docker
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
Strong understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10
