Job Summary

The Privacy & Data Protection Intern will learn about the basics of privacy and data protection risks, will be engaged to assist with client projects, and internal initiatives. The Intern will work alongside other experienced professionals where they will conduct data privacy, data governance, or AI governance assessments, develop policies and procedures, implement privacy technology, and support other managed service projects. The individual in this role will be involved with operationalizing client processes, policies, and controls.

Job Duties

  • Assists with conducting privacy maturity assessments based on privacy regulations or frameworks
  • Assists with conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) of client systems, vendors, or processing activities
  • Assists with managed service client tasks
  • Documents client meetings to socialize with the team following the meeting
  • Supports individual project tasks related to privacy projects
  • Assists the team with developing client reports, including findings and recommendations
  • Assists with developing project deliverables
  • Collects information for privacy processing registers and data inventories
  • Conducts research for client projects to ensure that they receive the most up to date solutions available on the market
  • Budgets time and assists with multiple project requests simultaneously, as well as the ability to monitor project tasks and risks
  • Travel required as necessary
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Management, required
  • Enrolled in an MBA or JD program, preferred

Experience

  • Leadership experience, preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • N/A

Software

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, required
  • Adobe Acrobat, preferred
  • Microsoft SharePoint, preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, preferred

  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

$36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Minnesota Range

$32.00/hr - $36.00/hr

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range

$36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Ohio Range

$33.00/hr - $37.00/hr

Washington DC Range

$34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
