QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by designing and executing test strategies, identifying defects, and working closely with developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define functional requirements and identify testing needs.
• Perform functional, integration, exploratory and regression testing.
• Test existing and newly developed features across multiple applications.
• Identify, document and track software defects through the project management system.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts where appropriate.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in QA processes and testing practices.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' commercial experience in a QA or Software Testing role.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with functional, integration, exploratory and regression testing.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman.
• Good knowledge of SQL, including writing queries using SELECT and JOIN.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of HTTP requests and responses, including methods, headers, status codes and response bodies.
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an Agile team.

Desirable Skills

• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Experience testing gaming applications or projects.
• Knowledge of testing web and mobile applications.
• Understanding and practical application of test design techniques.
