Position Overview
Objectways is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and business operations. Strong experience with cloud data ecosystems, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and large-scale data processing required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
- Develop and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to support reporting and AI initiatives.
- Implement data quality, governance, security, and monitoring frameworks.
- Optimize data processing performance and cost efficiency.
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Support cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics architectures.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with Python, PySpark, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms preferably AWS.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
- Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, or Databricks.
- Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Databricks, Delta Lake, or Lakehouse architectures.
- Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration tools.
- Experience supporting AI/ML and analytics workloads.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Databricks).
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
