Job Description for BIDA Tech Lead in Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne.

Objective of the Role

As the Tech Lead, you are responsible for acquiring information from multiple source

systems into the analytical data layers and build over them to provide an analytical

platform for business to fulfil data driven decision making. You will provide expertise in

data acquisition and data warehousing coupled with strong business understanding to

deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Analysing the business and functional requirements of any IT requests
• Collaborate with architects to develop data models
• Owning the end-to-end responsibility of data acquisition and transformation pipelines
• Working with business to ensure that the solution fulfils their needs and is properly tested
• Productionalising the solutions developed

Key Stakeholder Relationships

• Work collaboratively with the Suncorp business across Australia and NZ
• Work closely with Domain and Solution Architects from across the organization as well as

Technical Leads.

• Develop relationships with project delivery and governance teams and work closely with Project

Managers.

Key job requirements

-Strong shell scripting and SQL skills

-Prior experience in data acquisition and warehousing

-Knowledge about change data capture and IBM Infosphere

-Experience on working on cloud platforms like AWS

-Prior experience with Amazon database migration service is highly preferred

-Significant Experience with CD/CI tooling such as Jenkins

-Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M is preferred

-Familiar with Jira, Confluence or equivalent tools

-Experienced in version controlling using Git/ Stash

-Strong functional testing capabilities in SIT, UAT and Regression Testing, working with upstream and

downstream testing, with reference to data feed.

-Ability to learn new things and gain expertise in complex business systems quickly, and with attention to

detail

-A thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile methodology
