Write, debug, and maintain source code for software applications
Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements
Work with other developers to ensure seamless integration of code
Coordinate with application testers to support testing efforts and address bugs
Participate in testing and ensure code meets performance standards
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure application solutions
Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Perform maintenance and enhancements to existing applications
Collaborate with business analysts, QA testers, and other developers in an Agile development environment
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
Ensure code quality through unit testing and peer code reviews
Participate in design and architecture discussions
Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and technical specifications
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree or completion of a Computer Science program from a Technical Trade School preferred
Minimum of 2 years of application development experience with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language (Developer II)
Minimum of 5 years of application development experience with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language (Developer III)
Minimum of 8 years of application development experience with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language and familiarity with other languages (Lead Developer)
Training in ITIL, COBIT, and Agile is preferred
Proven experience delivering high-quality solutions in Java EE development environments preferred
Ability to translate user specifications into written code
Knowledge of data access methods to create, read, update, and delete data
Awareness of industry architecture
Familiarity with utility usage and tools
Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Basic understanding of database concepts
Awareness of technical trends
Ability to utilize versioning tools

Training in ITIL, COBIT, and Agile is preferred
Proven experience delivering high-quality solutions in Java EE development environments preferred
