Senior GIS Programmer - Government Experience is Required

• Recent government experience is required
• This starts as a 6 month contract
• 3 days/week onsite in Towson, MD, 2 days/week remote (Initial 1-2 weeks are onsite)
• Candidates must be located within driving distance of Towson, MD.

Booker DiMaio is seeking a Senior GIS Programmer for a 6-month contract supporting a local government client.

This position will focus on the development and modernization of an Agricultural Preservation Model, including upgrading an existing custom ArcMap Add-In written in C#/Python to an ArcGIS Pro Add-In. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing GIS applications in an enterprise environment and be comfortable working across C#, Python, ArcGIS technologies, and relational databases.

What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance GIS applications within an Enterprise GIS environment
• Upgrade an existing custom ArcMap Add-In to an ArcGIS Pro Add-In
• Work with C# and Python in the development and modernization of GIS applications
• Perform code reviews and contribute to application planning and development
• Document application functionality, development activities, and technical processes
• Perform database development and work with SQL, stored procedures, and triggers
• Support the development and maintenance of enterprise GIS applications

What We're Looking For

• Recent experience working directly with a government entity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience developing and modifying applications using:
• C#
• .NET
• Python
• JavaScript
• HTML
• J2EE
• 3+ years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies, including:
• ArcGIS Server
• ArcGIS APIs
• ArcGIS JavaScript API
• Esri SDKs
• ArcSDE
• Experience with ArcGIS ModelBuilder and Python
• Strong knowledge of SQL, triggers, and stored procedures
• Experience developing reports using SSRS and/or Power BI
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle and SQL Server
