The Office of Health and Safety (OHS) champions health and safety management at NTU. OHS oversees university-wide programmes including biosafety, chemical safety, radiation safety, laboratory safety, occupational health, audits, incident reporting and safety governance.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager (AI/Data Systems) to sustain OHS’ digital transformation, data analytics and AI-enabled initiatives. The successful candidate will develop and maintain digital tools, dashboards, automation workflows and data insights that strengthen safety oversight, compliance monitoring and operational efficiency across the University.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, maintain and enhance OHS digital systems, dashboards, trackers and workflow tools.
- Collect, clean, analyse and visualise safety and health data to support management reporting, risk monitoring, audits, inspections and programme evaluation.
- Identify and implement practical automation, AI-enabled and low-code/no-code solutions to streamline OHS processes and improve productivity.
- Work with OHS programme owners, Schools, Departments, Centres and system partners to gather requirements, conduct user testing, prepare documentation and support implementation.
- Prepare dashboards, reports and insights that support evidence-based decision-making, audit readiness and continuous improvement.
- Provide user support, training materials and continuous improvement recommendations for OHS digital tools.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Science, Safety & Health, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, digital systems, automation, workflow improvement, project management, business analysis or IT-enabled service delivery.
- Proficiency in Google Gemini, Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel or similar analytics and workflow platforms.
- Strong analytical, documentation, project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good understanding of responsible AI use, data governance, information security and validation of digital outputs would be advantageous.
- Experience in safety and health, higher education, research institutions or regulated environments would be advantageous.
- Independent, meticulous, reliable and able to manage concurrent priorities under timelines.
