Position Summary

The Cyber Security Analyst I (Journeyman) supports Mission Delta 6's cyberspace operations command and control mission by monitoring cyber orders, tracking compliance, and producing recurring operational reporting. This role is well suited to a mid-career cybersecurity professional who wants direct exposure to a Space Force operational mission and the reliability of a structured, well-defined reporting battle rhythm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor Government portals and systems daily for revised cyber orders and directives affecting Mission Delta 6 systems
  • Track and report cyber order compliance status, ensuring distribution and acknowledgment within the required next-duty-day window
  • Produce the bi-weekly Cyber Order Compliance Scorecard for Government review
  • Escalate to the Cyber Security Engineer II any order that cannot be confirmed compliant within the reporting window
  • Support broader cybersecurity sustainment and continuous monitoring activities as tasked
  • Coordinate with the Vulnerability Management team on cross-functional compliance items
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of cyber order receipt, distribution, and implementation status

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–10 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including experience in DoD or federal environments
  • Active DoD 8140-aligned certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent)
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, or an active Secret clearance with a submitted SSBI/Tier 5 investigation and the ability to reach TS/SCI eligibility within approximately 90 days
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with cyber order/tasking compliance tracking in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Space Force or other space mission enterprise programs
  • Familiarity with continuous monitoring and cybersecurity sustainment activities

  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping discipline
  • Ability to work a consistent daily monitoring battle rhythm without direct supervision
  • Clear, concise written reporting skills
  • Ability to recognize and escalate compliance risk promptly

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • On-site position at a Government facility in the Colorado Springs, CO area (Schriever SFB / Peterson SFB)
  • Standard office environment with daily monitoring responsibilities
  • Access to classified spaces and systems requiring adherence to all applicable security protocols
