Job Context

Riseup Labs seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer with proven experience in designing B2B and B2C software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating intuitive, modern, and user-centric designs while leading and mentoring a team of designers. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product experience, from wireframing to final design, ensuring seamless user flows, CX journeys, and visual excellence. This role requires expertise in modern UX methodologies, AI-driven design tools, and strong collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and scalable

products.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the UI/UX design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure design quality and consistency across all products.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into seamless user experiences.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and mockups using tools like Figma and Adobe XD.
• Create visually compelling interfaces, icons, logos, and other graphical elements using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Implement modern UX practices, ensuring designs align with user-centered design principles and customer experience (CX) journeys.
• Utilize AI-driven design tools and automation to speed up workflows and enhance design efficiency.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to continuously improve product design.
• Establish and maintain a design system and style guide for scalable and consistent product development.
• Collaborate with the team to design both B2B and B2C products, focusing on usability, accessibility, and scalability.
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends, modern methodologies, and emerging AI-driven design technologies.
• Work with project management systems (PMS) like Jira, Trello, or Asana to manage tasks and deliverables.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in design, Computer Science, HCI, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Additional Requirements

• 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience in the software industry, with 7+ years preferred.
• Proven expertise in designing B2B and B2C digital products (web, mobile, and cross-platform).
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong experience in wireframing, prototyping, modern UX flow design, and visual storytelling.
• Knowledge of CX journey mapping and modern user research methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI tools to accelerate design processes (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Uizard, Framer AI).
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, ClickUp).
• Excellent understanding of modern design principles, responsive design, accessibility standards, and interaction design.
• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to mentor and guide a design team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams.

• Hands-on experience in motion design or micro-interactions.
• Previous leadership experience in a senior or lead designer role.
• Familiarity with front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better collaboration with developers.
