Responsibilities

  • Holistically own and lead major workstreams
  • Influence the direction and roadmap of the team
  • Produce high quality technical artifacts
  • Contribute high-quality code and code reviews
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Elevate the team overall through mentoring
  • Collaborate across teams and cross functional stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent proven industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong product sense and willing product thinker
  • Collaborative mindset to partner with engineers, designers and PM's
  • Expertise in one or more backend languages (ex: Ruby, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Strong technical acumen and technical writing skills
  • Solid communicator, comfortable seeking and receiving feedback
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding implementation
  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred

  • Expertise in Ruby with a solid understanding of Rails
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog
  • Prior work experience in the B2B and/or e-commerce space
