Network Engineer Washington D.C.

Network Engineer to join our team in Washington D.C. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement network solutions that align with business needs
• Conduct regular network upgrades and updates to improve performance and security
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT team members
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technology
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network engineering or administration
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment and Cisco IOS
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus
