Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst serves as the principal analytical and data management professional supporting the Naval Special Warfare Leader Assessment Program. This position is responsible for collecting, managing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting assessment data that informs leadership development decisions across Naval Special Warfare. The analyst develops data models, dashboards, predictive analytics, and performance reports while maintaining Government-controlled databases and stakeholder reporting processes. This position directly supports the Naval Special Warfare Leader Assessment Program Manager and supervises the Administrative Support Assistant to ensure successful execution of program requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect business intelligence data from Naval Special Warfare and Naval Special Warfare Leader Assessment Program sources.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators and performance metrics.
  • Analyze data and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage Government-controlled databases and data flow processes.
  • Develop predictive models using regression, statistical methodologies, and analytical software.
  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from leadership development programs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Present analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare quarterly analytic and performance reports.
  • Maintain Naval Special Warfare Leader Assessment Program registration and survey systems.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders throughout Naval Special Warfare leadership development communities.
  • Supervise the Administrative Support Assistant.
  • Serve as Naval Special Warfare Leader Assessment Program Moderator when requested.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must hold an active Top Secret Security Clearance (SCI eligible)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence Analysis, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience developing customer-directed scoring systems, assessment templates, applications, or related business intelligence solutions with real-time usability and reporting capabilities.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience presenting performance summaries, analyzing performance trends, and developing performance deliverables supporting assessment programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two projects involving quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis resulting in executive-level recommendations or decision support products.
  • Demonstrated experience applying at least two data collection and analysis best practices, including stakeholder management, real-time data collection, data accuracy, analytical tools, and actionable visualization techniques.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
