Background

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join the Project Risk product team, within the Technology and Transformation for Operations (TTD/TTO) unit.

Project Risk is a strategic digital product designed to strengthen the Banks capacity to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. The product supports the implementation of the New Risk Framework by providing structured, data-driven tools that enhance transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making across operational, environmental, fiduciary, and systemic risk dimensions.

This role will involve in collaborating in delivering a suite of high-impact capabilities, including process automation and workflow orchestration, digital templates and standardization, collaboration and version management tools, governance and compliance monitoring through integrated data platforms powered by AI-driven tools, and intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core and C# in a cloud-native environment (Microsoft Azure).

Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to deliver secure, reliable functionality.

Integrate external APIs and services, implementing authentication and authorization according to established standards.

Write automated unit and integration tests using testing frameworks to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.

Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain clean, well-documented, and performant code.

Troubleshoot bugs and production incidents, contributing to timely resolution and root cause analysis.

Contribute to DevOps practices, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems.

Follow clean architecture principles and design patterns (e.g., SOLID, Clean Architecture, DDD) to ensure long-term maintainability.

Required Experience

Strong Backend Development Skills

Demonstrated hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications using .NET and C#, with proficiency in software design and integration patterns. Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Angular is a plus.

.NET Core & ASP.

NET Core (Preferred

.NET 8)

o Proficient in building web applications and RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core.

o Familiar with new features and performance improvements in .NET 8.

o Skilled in applying performance optimization techniques such as caching,

compression, and query tuning.

Entity Framework Core

Experience with data access using EF Core, including migrations,

LINQ, and performance optimization of queries.

Microsoft Azure Cloud

o Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Azure, including App

Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.

o Familiar with core PaaS services, networking, and cost-aware architecture design.

Testing & Debugging

o Proficient in writing automated unit and integration tests using frameworks such as

xUnit, NUnit, and Moq.

o Skilled in using Visual Studio debugging and profiling tools.

API Development & Integration

o Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and the HTTP protocol.

o Experience with API documentation and design tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Azure API

Management).

o Skilled in integrating with external APIs and implementing secure

authentication/authorization using OAuth2 and JWT.

Modern Authentication

o Practical experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure B2C.

o Strong understanding of modern authentication flows (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

Version Control

o Advanced experience with Git, including branching strategies, code reviews, and pull

request workflows.

o Familiarity with Bitbucket and GitHub.

Application Architecture

o Solid understanding of software architecture patterns including SOA and

microservices.

o Experience designing scalable, maintainable systems using Clean Architecture,

DDD, and SOLID principles.

o Proficiency with containerization using Docker; exposure to Kubernetes is a plus.

o Experience implementing serverless and container-based solutions in the cloud.

Databases

Proficient in working with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL, including

schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Experience with the following is a plus

Terraform, ARM

templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.

CI/CD & DevOps Tooling

o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure

DevOps.

o Exposure to quality gates and scanning tools like SonarQube, and artifact

repositories like Nexus or JFrog Artifactory.

Soft skills

Passionate about designing leading Cloud Native Apps.

Understand and apply integration design patterns in the solutions you create.

Advocate for clean software architecture components that are testable, maintainable,

changeable and independent.

Advocate for keeping a software that can be deployed to production at any time, ondemand.
