Job Summary

This role is for a skilled engineer to enhance and maintain a robust Kubernetes platform within demanding, regulated cloud environments. You will ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, and user-friendliness while collaborating with development teams. The position focuses on hands-on work to improve automation, operational excellence, and system resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Kubernetes platform components.
• Design and implement scalable platform features.
• Automate infrastructure and CI/CD processes.
• Monitor system performance and respond to incidents.
• Support compliance activities for regulated environments.

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads in production
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar; GovCloud experience a plus)
• Strong working knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Ability to write and maintain scripts or services (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, logging systems)
• Basic understanding of security and compliance concepts (e.g., NIST 800-53, STIGs, RMF)

Industry Experience

Experience in cloud environments governed by stringent security and compliance regulations, such as FedRAMP High or DoD IL5, is highly preferred.
