  • Document procedures, runbooks, and configuration details; contribute to knowledge-base articles.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • Proven experience administering MS SQL Server (2019 or newer) in enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for performance, blocking, deadlocks, and connectivity issues.
  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining database security standards (authentication, encryption, auditing).
  • Hands-on experience with database performance monitoring and optimization tools
  • Proficiency in managing database access (logins, users, roles, permissions).
  • Demonstrated ability to review, enhance, and test backup/recovery strategies aligned with business SLAs.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills for cross-team incident resolution and change management.
  • Practical experience configuring and managing SQL Server Availability Groups (Always On).
  • Foundational Windows Server administration knowledge (patching, services, basic networking).
  • English language proficiency – minimum B2 level (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have – ~5% weighting)

  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (SSRS, Power BI) and Data Warehouse concepts (star/snowflake schemas, partitioning).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, T-SQL) for automation.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication – able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
