A market-leading self-custodial Ethereum wallet with strong product credibility, open-source participation, and a clear emphasis on secure digital asset management across mobile and browser surfaces.

About the Role

This is a staff-level backend role for an engineer who can shape architecture, ship complex features, and raise the technical bar on a platform that directly powers the company’s mobile applications and browser extension.

The mandate combines hands-on execution with technical leadership

improving the underlying systems, partnering closely with product and design, and helping the broader engineering organization maintain a high standard for performance, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Drive technical decisions and architectural improvements across the backend platform supporting the mobile apps and browser extension.

Implement complex features with a strong focus on performance, security, and product quality.

Mentor and guide other engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver polished, user-centric experiences.

Core Requirements

Strong proficiency in Go.

Meaningful interest in — and ideally experience with — Ethereum, Web3, NFTs, DeFi, and their underlying systems.

Experience building and supporting robust, secure, and scalable backend applications.

Deep knowledge of systems design and API design.

A security-conscious development mindset.

Bonus Skills

Experience with AWS (including CloudFront, EKS, MSK, and SQS), Kubernetes, Kafka, Postgres, and Redis.

Familiarity with TypeScript, GraphQL, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.

Interview Process

Initial conversation with a finance or business leader.

GitHub review by the engineering team.

Three technical interviews (45–60 minutes each) covering different technical topics.
