Position Title

Senior Go (Golang) Developer

Location

US (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Go (Golang) Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-performance, scalable backend services, robust APIs, and seamless system integrations. You will write clean, idiomatic Go code, optimize application performance, and work closely with cross-functional teams to build microservices that handle high-concurrency workloads.

Required Technical Skills & Key Responsibilities

Experience

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years dedicated to Go (Golang).

Frameworks

Hands-on experience with modern Go web frameworks (e.g., Gin, Echo, Fiber, or Gorilla/Mux).

Protocols & Formats

Deep understanding of REST, JSON, and XML.

Databases

Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle).

Concurrency

Solid grasp of Go's concurrency patterns, goroutines, channels, and synchronization primitives.

Tools

Proficiency with dependency management tools (Go Modules) and Git version control.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services and microservices using Go.

API Engineering

Design, implement, and secure high-throughput RESTful API services.

System Integration

Develop integrations with third-party platforms, databases, internal legacy systems, and cloud services.

Concurrency Optimization

Leverage Go’s native concurrency features (goroutines and channels) to build highly optimized and efficient systems.

Testing & Quality

Write clean unit, integration, and benchmark tests to ensure code reliability and performance.

Collaboration

Work alongside frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver features from concept to deployment via CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, EKS).
• Experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience working with the DevOps team for deployments.
