Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core AI platform infrastructure, services, and SDKs
- Partner with Applied Scientists to translate experimental models into AI services
- Design data pipelines for RAG systems
- Onboard engineering teams to AI use cases
- Design, document, and deploy public AI interfaces
- Deliver AI applications with SREs
- Develop test cases for AI models and workflows
Requirements
- Expert-level API and service development in Python
- Expert-level API and service development in Go
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with database management
- Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines
- Hands-on experience managing vector databases
- Hands-on experience orchestrating multi-agent systems
- Proven ability to communicate technical requirements effectively
- Deep understanding of horizontal scaling
- Deep understanding of 12-factor application design
- Deep understanding of OWASP security principles
- Experience monitoring AI performance
- Experience analyzing model/software errors
- Proficiency in container-based development with Docker
- Proficiency with source control via Git
- At least 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
Preferred
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, LiteLLM, or CrewAI)
- Production experience with distributed architectures
- Production experience with event-driven architectures
- Production experience with message-driven architectures
- Experience building self-service "Platform-as-a-Product" for internal developers
