Responsibilities

  • Work with large scale back end systems to detect fraudsters using rules and machine learning models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for fraud detection and mitigation
  • Build tooling and automation for operations to reduce fraud
  • Build user challenges to prevent fraudulent listings while reducing good user impact

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience building systems at scale
  • Experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Scala
  • Ability to write high performance production quality code
  • Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders such as legal and operations

Preferred

  • Experience with the Trust and Risk domain
