We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Developer / Integration Specialist with strong hands-on experience in SAP BTP Integration Suite and enterprise integration. The ideal candidate should have a 360-degree understanding of SAP integrations, including SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-non-SAP integrations, along with experience working on S/4HANA implementation/integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
• Develop integrations between S/4HANA, ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and other SAP applications.
• Build SAP-to-non-SAP integrations with third-party applications, SaaS platforms, APIs, databases, and legacy systems.
• Develop and manage integrations using REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, SFTP, JDBC, JMS, and other protocols.
• Design and implement event-driven integrations using SAP Event Mesh.
• Develop and manage APIs using SAP API Management (APIM).
• Implement secure connectivity using SAP Cloud Connector, destinations, certificates, OAuth, and other security mechanisms.
• Participate in S/4HANA implementation/integration projects, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and implement appropriate error handling, monitoring, logging, and retry mechanisms.
• Support BTP administration, including subaccounts, roles, entitlements, destinations, service instances, security, and environment management.
• Collaborate with architects, SAP functional teams, and application teams to define scalable integration solutions.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / CPI.
• Experience with SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-non-SAP integrations.
• Strong S/4HANA integration experience; implementation project experience preferred.

• SAP API Management

• JMS
• SAP Cloud Connector
• REST / SOAP / OData
• IDoc / RFC / BAPI
• SFTP / JDBC
• Good knowledge of Groovy scripting, JSON, XML, XSD, XPath.
• Understanding of OAuth, certificates, SSL/TLS, and integration security.
• Working knowledge of SAP BTP Administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.

Preferred

• 6+ years of SAP Integration / Middleware experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP BTP Integration Suite experience.
• Experience with S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects.
• SAP BTP / Integration Suite certification is a plus.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and enterprise integration patterns.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on SAP BTP Developer to design, build, and support applications and integrations on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role focuses on developing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using BTP services, Integration Suite, and extension frameworks to support SAP S/4HANA and enterprise integrations.

The ideal candidate will work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to implement BTP solutions, build APIs and integrations, manage deployments, and ensure adherence to platform standards, security, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

BTP Application Development

• Develop and deploy applications on SAP BTP using services like CAP, Cloud Foundry, and Kyma
• Build extensions for SAP S/4HANA using side-by-side and event-driven architectures
• Implement reusable components and follow best practices for scalable BTP development

Integration Development (SAP Integration Suite)

• Design and develop iFlows, APIs, and integrations using SAP Integration Suite
• Implement integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems (e.g., third-party platforms)
• Handle data transformations, routing, error handling, and retry mechanisms
• Build reusable integration components and templates

API & Connectivity

• Develop and expose APIs using REST/OData services
• Configure and consume destinations and connectivity services within BTP
• Ensure secure and efficient communication between systems

Data Handling & Persistence

• Work with SAP HANA Cloud and other data services for application persistence
• Implement data models, queries, and data transformations
• Support data integration and movement across systems

Security & Access Implementation

• Implement authentication and authorization using BTP services (XSUAA, IAS, etc.)
• Configure roles, scopes, and access controls as per defined standards
• Ensure secure handling of credentials, certificates, and service keys

Deployment & Transport

• Manage code repositories, branching, and version control (Git)
• Deploy applications across DEV, QA, and PROD environments
• Support transport and promotion of artifacts following CI/CD practices
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for automated deployments

Monitoring & Support

• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using BTP tools
• Support incident resolution, debugging, and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Ensure applications are production-ready and supportable

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with architects to follow BTP standards and design patterns
• Collaborate with Basis, security, and integration teams
• Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, security, and compliance requirements
