Responsibilities

Upgrade and modernize enterprise Java applications
Develop and maintain Java and Python applications
Improve legacy code using modern development practices
Support secure software development in a government environment
Upgrade and maintain Apache Solr, Zookeeper, and Tomcat
Migrate Solr index data during system upgrades
Integrate applications with Oracle 19c databases
Support Apache Directory Studio and SAP Business Intelligence integrations
Document system designs, upgrade procedures, and configurations
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

13+ years of professional software development or related IT experience
A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience
A Master's degree may substitute for 6 years of experience
Strong experience developing enterprise Java applications
Experience with Python
Experience upgrading and maintaining Apache Solr (including Solr index migration) and Zookeeper
Experience with Apache Tomcat
Experience integrating with Oracle 19c or other relational databases
Experience with secure software development practices

Preferred

Experience with Apache Directory Studio
Experience with SAP Business Intelligence reporting
Experience with VMware-based Windows environments
Experience with PrimeFaces
