Lead the design and implementation of the modernization framework and reusable components
Architect Java-based services, APIs, and integration layers
Evaluate legacy systems and define modernization strategies
Oversee migration of business logic from legacy platforms to modern architectures
Establish coding standards, development patterns, and best practices
Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical oversight
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and security teams
Troubleshoot complex system issues and ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability
Contribute to DevOps strategy, automation, and cloud deployment pipelines

8 years of experience with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with PhD, or 12 years with HS diploma
Must be a US Citizen
Active Public Trust clearance
Security+ certification
Experience with Java development and modern frameworks like Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
Background in designing and building distributed systems and event-driven architectures
Knowledge of REST APIs and enterprise-level system interactions
SQL and NoSQL database skills
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies
Hands-on experience developing Java EE applications on WebLogic Application Server
Experience with Git and automated build tools
Experience working in Agile teams

Experience modernizing monolithic applications into modular or microservice architectures
Experience with Kafka and API gateways
Knowledge of security best practices, OAuth2, and JWT
Exposure to domain-driven design (DDD) principles
