Sr Systems & Software Dev't Specialist
Job Description
Forge requires a Software Development Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). The project is a modern cloud-based customer software engagement designed to deliver new digital capabilities to support Army Installation and Enterprise Master Planning. This role will engage with a large development team and perform key development activities for critical application elements and modules.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):
Plan, direct, or coordinate development and coding activities for information systems and underlying data structures
Develop features and applications using Palantir Foundry
Develop high-quality features using .NET/C# and following CI/CD processes.
Perform unit testing on developed features, enhancements, and fixes to ensure the product is ready for customer review.
Support customer feedback review and provide development team disposition on collected feedback, as well as new feature and enhancement requests
Develop detailed time and sizing estimates for technical tasking and user stories
Update product backlogs with the latest ticket status
Work with the integrated project team to deploy the latest code using CI/CD to associated Azure services (Azure SQL and Azure App Service/Functions)
Document technical artifacts, including data models, process flows, applications, and interface design
Development and maintenance of system architecture and requirements documentation
Maintain Active Security Clearance
Qualifications/Requirements
The Candidate must be able to think strategically, act tactically, and demonstrate strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
US Citizen (authorization to work is not sufficient)
9-10 years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
Experience with Palantir Foundry
Experience with .NET/C#
Experience with Visual Studio
SQL/MSSQL Experience
Front End Experience (React, Vue, Angular)
Experience with CSS and HTML5
Experience with MS Azure SQL and Azure App Service
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to follow security protocols to protect sensitive data
Security+CE certification
Highly Desired Qualifications
Active SECRET (or higher) security clearance
Experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) preferred
Azure certification preferred
