The Platform Specialist provides operational support for assigned product platform activities. Working together with the Platform Manager, this individual prepares recurring reports and day-to-day analyses, tracks agreed actions and deadlines, coordinates inputs from cross-functional and regional teams, and helps translate global priorities into clear regional information and follow-up. The role contributes to defined projects and deliverables but does not own platform strategy, pricing decisions, portfolio direction, or people management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Product Platform Reporting and Coordination Support

  • Supports the Platform Manager by maintaining platform trackers, action logs, timelines, and recurring reporting.
  • Collects and consolidates inputs from Product Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations, and regional teams.
  • Performs routine market, competitor, sales, and business performance analyses using defined sources, tools, and templates.
  • Prepares dashboards, summaries, and presentation materials and escalates relevant findings or data gaps to the Platform Manager.
  • Coordinates ideation and project review meetings, records decisions, and follows up on agreed actions with responsible stakeholders.
  • Supports regions in understanding and translating global platform priorities, tools, and messages into regional execution requirements.
  • Day-to-Day Portfolio Analytics and Follow-up:
  • Maintains pricing, margin, profitability, sales, and product performance files using agreed definitions and templates.
  • Monitors recurring business indicators, identifies variances, and prepares factual summaries for review by the Platform Manager.
  • Tracks new product introduction milestones, launch requirements, and outstanding actions, escalating delays or missing information.
  • Coordinates regional data collection and supports the consolidation of inputs for strategic planning, forecasts, and business reviews.
  • Maintains accurate documentation, shared files, and version control for platform reports and presentations.
  • Regional Translation and Innovation Coordination Support:
  • Coordinates product application information, training materials, and approved technical resources for regional Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Organizes customer, supplier, and internal follow-up activities as assigned and ensures actions are recorded and communicated.
  • Supports the R&D Program Manager and Corporate Technology teams by scheduling reviews, consolidating updates, and tracking agreed innovation actions.
  • Collects compliance inputs from Environmental Health & Safety and other subject-matter experts and shares approved information with relevant regions.
  • Monitors product availability information from production and supply teams and communicates potential service issues through established channels.
  • Supports trade and industry event preparation, captures market information, and summarizes relevant insights for internal stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Less than one year of relevant experience, including internships, apprenticeships, graduate placements, or other early-career experience in product management support, marketing, business analysis, project coordination, or a commercial or technical environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain trackers, coordinate inputs, and follow actions through completion.
  • Good analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and presentation tools; familiarity with reporting, dashboard, data-visualization, or analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Basic familiarity with AI tools and an interest in using approved generative AI and automation solutions to support research, data analysis, reporting, presentations, and routine coordination activities.
  • Ability to work with structured data, recognize trends and inconsistencies, and translate analytical outputs into clear, factual summaries under guidance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a global matrix environment and supporting the translation of global priorities into regional actions and communications.
  • Curiosity, reliability, and willingness to learn about products, markets, customers, and internal business processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing, specialty materials, regulated products, or multilingual and cross-regional coordination is preferred but not required.
