Custom Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Madison, WI (Remote). The ideal candidate will develop and enhance custom software applications by designing, coding, and implementing scalable solutions using modern frameworks and agile methodologies.

Rate Range

$60/Hour to $67/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include

• Design, develop, and enhance custom software applications using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, and AWS technologies.
• Build scalable, high-performance solutions that meet business requirements and support enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define technical solutions and ensure successful project delivery.
• Analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot system challenges, and implement innovative solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership, guide team members, and contribute to key architectural and development decisions.
• Support agile development practices, participate in code reviews, and drive continuous improvement in development processes and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java, Oracle PL/SQL, AWS, and Spring Boot development.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise applications using modern software development frameworks.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.

Pay Details

$60.00 to $67.00 per hour
