Responsibilities

Develop new cloud application features including from React to AWS API Gateway and Lambda/ECS to database

Own technical solutions and feature improvements from design through production

Design and implement scalable, observable technical solutions, including technical design documents, implementation plans, migration plans, and architecture decision records that help evolve application architecture and engineering standards

Support production systems through monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements

Support code deployment and continuous integration

Build high-quality software through automated testing and thoughtful peer code reviews

Mentor other engineers on effective and responsible use of agentic AI tools

Help improve SDLC through tooling, automation, and engineering best practices

Collaborate across teams to solve problems and maintain clear API, event, and data contracts

Continuously improve engineering best practices, coding standards, and shared technical patterns

Use agentic AI tools to accelerate planning, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation while exercising sound judgment

Review and validate AI-assisted work to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and alignment with engineering standards

Demonstrated experience delivering React web applications integrated with databases (MySQL, SQL Server)

Strong professional experience building production applications in TypeScript and React

Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)

Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, Datadog)

Practical understanding of secure software development, including authorization, secrets management, least-privilege access, dependency risk, secure cloud development, and responsible handling of AI-assisted code

Hands-on experience using agentic, AI-assisted development tools with sound judgment about when and how to direct them, including awareness of risks such as sensitive data exposure, insecure generated code, hallucinated output, excessive agency, and overreliance; able to apply appropriate human review, testing, and validation before merge or deployment

Experience with browser compatibility, mobile-friendly standards, WCAG accessibility standards, and applicable EU accessibility compliance requirements

Familiarity with issue tracking and source control such as Jira/GitHub

Experience improving application performance, reliability, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency

Preferred

Experience with Python, UX, and additional AWS tools is a nice bonus
