Responsibilities

Conduct code and design reviews, enforcing engineering standards
Mentor senior engineers across C++, C#, Node.js, and React
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for .NET Framework, Node.js, and React
Drive architecture and technical strategy for Instrument Intelligence Platform
Establish and govern a unified cross-platform architecture
Author and maintain Architecture Decision Records, HLD, LLD, and contracts
Enforce platform security and compliance standards (TLS 1.2+, secrets rotation, code-signing)
Lead modernization of legacy applications (ASP.NET MVC 5, AngularJS to React 19 SPA)
Design and implement REST APIs for scalable platform integrations
Architect and maintain Azure-to-AWS cloud migration framework
Define roadmap for cloud-native multi-instrument fleet APIs
Manage dual-binary codebase constraints for x64/.NET 4.8 and x86/.NET 2.0
Serve as hands-on technical authority balancing cloud strategy and technical involvement
Lead transition from legacy on-device systems to cloud-native architectures
Communicate complex technical concepts to IT leadership, product management, and stakeholders
Champion engineering excellence through security-by-design, documentation, and quality practices
Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering technical growth and collaboration

Requirements

12+ years of software engineering experience
4+ years as a Principal Engineer or managing multi-tier platforms
Deep proficiency in C++/C# Windows services
Experience with on-device applet software
Proficiency in .NET Framework architectures (Web Forms, MVC, Web API, WCF)
Experience with Node.js Express
Experience with React 18/19
Extensive mastery of enterprise identity and access management
Experience with Azure AD, MSAL, and JWT bearer authentication
Ability to manage co-existing legacy Forms and Windows Authentication models
Excel in SQL Server multi-database schema design
Experience with stored procedure governance
Experience with query optimization
Experience with PowerShell deployment automation
Robust IIS configuration
TLS/SSL certificate management
Rigorous approach to platform security
TLS 1.2+ enforcement
Automated secrets rotation
AES configuration encryption
Secure code-signing pipeline design
Proven experience designing custom network protocols or binary/text network layers
Ability to engineer robust CI/CD pipelines for complex, multi-solution codebases
Experience with ASP.NET MVC 5
Experience with AngularJS
Experience with React 19 Single Page Applications (SPA)
Design and implement modern REST APIs
Architect and maintain dual-state Azure-to-AWS cloud migration framework
