Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications
Write reliable, maintainable code and refactor to improve quality
Take ownership of medium-scope features and deliver them end to end
Break down work and manage complexity
Unblock yourself and help unblock teammates
Collaborate with Product, User Experience, and Site Reliability Engineering
Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful feedback
Apply AI tools to improve engineering work
Contribute to design discussions and influence technical decisions
Understand product requirements and suggest improvements
Support newer teammates through pairing and knowledge sharing

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
2+ years of applicable experience
Proficiency in front-end and/or back-end modern web development
Ability to work independently on medium-complexity features
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and testing practices
Demonstrated ability to refactor and improve code quality independently
Hands-on experience using AI tools for engineering work

Background in education technology or mission-driven industries
