Support and help complete the migration of legacy MS SQL scripts/processes into Databricks
Build and maintain dbt models as part of the new Databricks-based data architecture
Support Data List pulls for audience segmentation during year-end peak volume
Partner with the existing team of 2 data engineers already embedded in the migration
Review and validate migrated processes/scripts in collaboration with vendors
Help lay the groundwork for a new segmentation tool (currently in procurement/early implementation)
Work with data that maps customer/donor journeys — email, SMS, direct mail, and call outreach — to support full 360-degree audience views

4-7 years of hands-on data engineering experience
Recent experience in the nonprofit industry
Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and dbt
Experience migrating data warehouses (e.g., legacy SQL environments into Databricks or similar) strongly preferred
Comfortable working within an existing architecture and picking up work already in progress alongside other engineers

Prior experience in nonprofit (NFP) organizations, particularly supporting audience management, donor journeys, or fundraising data
If no direct NFP background, experience supporting customer/donor journey data
AI-related certifications or experience a plus (e.g., Databricks Genie)
