In this highly collaborative role, you will lead the requirements gathering, documentation, and debugging of critical data pipelines connecting systems like Banner, Common App, and Axiom Elite. • Ability to troubleshoot and explain technical issues and work progress to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Excellent project management skills with keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: orally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and when necessary, with minimal resources.
  • Expert-level working experience with Salesforce architecture, data structures, and troubleshooting, particularly within Higher Education environments.
  • Working experience gathering technical requirements, documenting data mapping, and initiating integration requests for enterprise systems.
  • Working experience providing end-user support through tickets, training, and documentation.
  • Working experience writing and executing SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, validation, and debugging across relational databases and data warehouses.
  • Working experience creating test plans, cases, data, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator (preferred)
  • Working experience with Data 360, as well as modern data storage tools and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS S3, etc.).
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Informatica, Axiom Elite) and Student Information Systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner) to effectively collaborate with the technical teams that own those platforms.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study required. Or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with related work experience equivalent to a master’s degree in the proceeding fields.

Conditions of Employment

This is a remote position, requiring a traditional 40-hour work week. Computer equipment will be supplied for remote work; high-speed internet is the responsibility of the employee.

  • The equipment provided to staff with approved telework agreements enables them to deliver vital services to University faculty, staff, and students from remote locations.
  • Many of our operations can and should continue as usual, even when the main physical campus is closed.
  • Therefore, all division employees with an approved telework agreement are generally expected to work during official University closures.

Should travel be required, budgetary constraints may limit where the successful candidate can reside. In addition, existing payroll limitations on locations a remote employee may work from could limit the selection of the final candidate.
