Job Description Summary
As part of the EMEA Onshore Wind commercial team, the EMEA Competitiveness Leader will support the regional pricing strategy and competitive intelligence efforts. This role is designed for a motivated individual to develop deep expertise in value-based pricing, financial modeling, and deal economics. You will work closely with senior commercial leaders to gather market data, analyze bid outcomes, and support the pricing approval process, ensuring our commercial decisions are backed by rigorous data analysis.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Support: Assist in preparing pricing analyses and data models to support bid recommendations for EMEA sub-regions.
- Process Coordination: Support the pricing approval process by gathering inputs and documentation for the ITO (Inquiry to Order) process.
- Market Intelligence: Assist in the systematic collection and tracking of win/loss data and competitive intelligence, maintaining accurate records in company tools.
- Reporting: Help update and maintain pricing dashboards; assist in preparing summaries for monthly/quarterly reviews.
- Collaboration: Partner with regional sales and commercial teams to help refine value propositions for customer opportunities.
- Learning & Development: Participate in strategy sessions to understand how market dynamics and pricing affect project economics.
- Operational Integrity: Ensure pricing documentation is compliant with internal controls and data integrity standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Business.
- Strong knowledge in the renewable energy industry and commercial operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, modeling).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable summaries.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Experience or similar work in the wind industry, including customer-facing experience.
- Understanding of energy economics and financial modelling. Strong analytical capabilities with ability to summarize/synthesize complex information.
- Commercial mindset and ability to work effectively with sales and commercial leaders.
- Clear Thinker who has the strategic capacity to sift through complex information.
Desired Characteristics
- Foundational understanding of energy economics or financial modeling.
- Experience or familiarity with CRM/Sales tools (e.g., Salesforce) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Language skills in Spanish or German (highly beneficial for EMEA regional focus).
- Previous internship or experience in a commercial, financial, or engineering support role.
- ITO Process & tools experience is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
