Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact
  • Drive collaboration between design, quality, and customer teams
  • Manage and resolve complex issues within teams
  • Provide technical consultation and leadership during the design process
  • Provide leadership and guidance in design, development, and verification
  • Communicate with business leaders and stakeholders on critical issues
  • Lead and engage with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) teams
  • Sign off on RCCA completions
  • Champion Lean methods
  • Mentor and guide the broader technical community
  • Disseminate lessons learned across Engineering organizations
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, partners, and vendors
  • Propose and develop new technical solutions
  • Design, create, fix, and review software

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience
  • U.S. Person required
  • Experience in programming C#, C++, Java and/or Python
  • Leadership and mentoring experience
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Proven leadership experience with global teams
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and drive solutions
  • Strong ability to influence others, drive change, and align cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated clear thinker – able to solve complex technical challenges
  • Proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to motivate others

Preferred

  • Significant aviation industry experience
  • Advanced degree from an accredited university or college in an Engineering or related discipline
  • Makes decisions and manages conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate actions/solutions in clear concise manner that drives impact
  • Problem solving skills to discover root causes and fix issues
