Responsibilities

  • Implement features, fix bugs, and resolve production incidents across iOS and Android
  • Extend mobile features to backend and web frontend components
  • Own mobile initiatives end-to-end from requirements to production
  • Act as primary technical escalation point for complex mobile problems
  • Review code and designs for component and navigation structure
  • Evolve mobile engineering standards including architecture and testing
  • Monitor operational health of releases and staged rollouts

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience with React Native
  • Proficiency in React Native and TypeScript
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals including asynchronous programming
  • Working knowledge of relational and document databases
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and HTTP fundamentals
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android tooling including Xcode and Android Studio
  • Understanding of mobile OS fundamentals and app lifecycle
  • Experience with automated testing practices
  • Understanding of mobile security and data handling
  • Experience designing mobile application architecture
  • Experience designing or integrating native modules and SDKs
  • Experience owning app signing and store submission processes
  • Experience establishing mobile engineering practices
  • Experience with mobile production operations and monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced engineers
  • Fluent in Russian and English (B2)

Preferred

  • Broader backend and database experience
  • Experience with event-driven architectures
  • Experience operating high-traffic, low-latency systems
  • Experience with offline-first architectures
  • Familiarity with React Native New Architecture
  • Native development depth in Swift or Kotlin
  • Experience with in-person or mobile payments and fintech
  • Experience with Stripe Terminal, Tap to Pay, or NFC
  • Experience in a distributed, remote-first engineering organization
