Responsibilities

  • Develop features across a React/TypeScript frontend and Go backend for realtime dispatch operations
  • Build and optimize WebSocket-driven systems tracking units, calls, and incidents
  • Work with GIS integrations including map layers and location-based workflows
  • Improve performance in a complex frontend with significant state management
  • Extend multi-tenant architecture serving agencies with varying permissions and data isolation
  • Debug and resolve issues in production systems operating 24/7/365
  • Collaborate with Product, Implementation, and Operations teams to deliver on agency commitments

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • React + TypeScript in production at scale
  • Backend development in Go or a similar compiled language
  • State management expertise with Redux or equivalent in complex applications
  • Experience navigating and improving mature codebases
  • Production debugging skills, including off-hours incident response
  • AWS experience in production environments
  • AI/LLM fluency using AI tools to generate production-ready code
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Experience with AWS ECS and Terraform

Preferred

  • Real-time systems experience (WebSockets, event-driven architectures, push systems)
  • GIS or mapping libraries (ESRI, Mapbox, Leaflet)
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture patterns
  • Public safety, healthcare, or government/compliance-heavy domains
  • CJIS, FedRAMP, or SOC 2 environments
