Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and implement algorithms to enable mission planning and motion control of autonomous vehicles
- Responsible for various phases of developing and maintaining autonomy software from requirements generation through design, development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging
- Translate requirements and apply requirements to development code
- Review test outcomes, conduct troubleshooting, and work to debug issues
- Implement interfaces for integration with other components of the autonomy stack
Requirements
- Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of software and system architecture patterns
- Knowledge of application areas (computer vision, natural language processing, signal processing, robots, multi-agent systems, manned-unmanned teaming, etc.)
- Demonstrated history of building prototypes in rapid prototyping environment
- Experience working and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary research team setting
- Experience using modeling languages including UML/SysML and integrated modeling tools like Enterprise Architect
- Experience designing and implementing classical autonomy algorithms (expert systems, A* route planning, etc.)
- Fully Proficient in C++ programming experience
- Experience with modern software development tools (git, docker, etc.)
Preferred
- Previous experience with applying advanced AI methods through applied research
- Experience with simulation, Hardware in the Loop (HWIL), and field testing of embedded autonomy solutions
- Knowledge of Database/SQL
- Experience with Cuda and GPU implementation of path planning
- Docker/Kubernetes, computer vision, fusion, optimization, localization, mission planning, signal processing, Java experience is a plus
