Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for CRS and ArtivaRM
- Build technical and business knowledge under guidance
- Develop and enhance application features, reports, integrations, and defect fixes
- Learn and apply software development best practices, coding standards, and secure development principles
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
- Contribute to internal projects and product improvements
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application defects and system issues
- Reproduce reported issues in development and test environments
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective solutions
- Help maintain application performance, stability, and reliability
- Partner with developers, testers, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Work closely with experienced engineers through pair programming, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning sessions, and team discussions
- Communicate progress, challenges, and accomplishments to team members and leadership
- Develop proficiency in team tools, technologies, and platforms
- Gain experience with enterprise applications, databases, and development processes
- Expand technical knowledge through training, mentorship, and hands-on project work
- Build understanding of federal program requirements, operational processes, and compliance expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–2 years of software development experience
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and software development fundamentals
- Experience developing software applications through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional work
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript, or SQL
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and business domains quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated willingness to accept feedback, learn from others, and work collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience involving software development
- Familiarity with ArtivaRM or enterprise business applications
- Exposure to InterSystems Cache, SQL databases, or related database technologies
- Experience with development tools such as: Jira, Bitbucket, Git
- Experience with Agile development environments
- Understanding of software testing principles and debugging techniques
- Interest in working within a government or federally regulated environment
