About the Role

Kopius is seeking a Security Lead to join our Solutions Division and support a client engagement with a public-sector retirement system. In this role, you will contract with Kopius and serve as the named Information Security contact for a multi-stakeholder project, bringing senior-level expertise in data governance for pension/retirement systems, regulated data platform design, and Microsoft Purview implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead senior architectural governance across the engagement.
• Implement and configure Microsoft Purview for the client's data platform.
• Define sensitivity-label strategy in a regulated public-sector environment.
• Design tokenization architecture for sensitive member and beneficiary data (PII).
• Serve as the named Information Security contact across a multi-stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Senior data governance experience, ideally within pension, retirement systems, public sector, or financial services.
• Hands-on Microsoft Purview implementation experience.
• Knowledge of regulated platform governance (data privacy, PII protection).
• Experience with sensitivity-label strategy in regulated environments.
• Tokenization architecture experience for sensitive/PII workloads.
• Background working with public-sector agencies, retirement systems, or government fund administrators is a plus.
• Demonstrated security leadership.

Things to keep in mind!

• Compensation: $89 – $99 per hour (contractor/1099). Individual pay within the posted range is determined by multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship, transfer, or extension of work authorization now or in the future.
