Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain code within applications and systems
  • Implement capabilities and features
  • Improve performance and maintainability
  • Reduce technical debt
  • Align with product and technology roadmaps
  • Participate in Agile planning
  • Provide advice and guidance
  • Monitor emerging trends
  • Understand customer and end user challenges
  • Partner to design viable solutions
  • Recommend solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces
  • Foresee capacity requirements for component usage
  • Identify component limitations
  • Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning
  • Contribute to product and solution designs
  • Build software applications across multiple platforms
  • Write software and automated tests aligned with standards
  • Perform trouble-shooting efforts and investigations
  • Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products
  • Actively work with less experienced software engineers
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight
  • Actively participate in the engineering community
  • Stay up to date on new software technologies and best practices
  • Share insights with others in the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • Scrum Developer Certification or equivalent
  • 1– 3 years of working experience
  • Working experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components
  • Working experience in client-facing web applications
  • Working experience in major Internet-oriented applications and systems
  • Working experience realizing applications from conception and design, to implementation and support
  • Working experience in coding within multiple technology stacks
  • Working experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
  • Working experience in analysis, design and programming
  • Working experience with appropriate database technology
