About the Role

My Client are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team responsible for a critical front-to-back trading platform within the Asia Pacific region.

This platform supports the full trade lifecycle — from pre-trade analytics and pricing to post-trade risk management, position tracking, and regulatory reporting. It powers real-time decision-making for traders, risk managers, and operations teams, enabling automated hedging strategies, volatility analysis, and trade execution workflows.

You will work on a high-performance, low-latency distributed system that processes live market data, delivers real-time analytics to desktops, and integrates with downstream finance and compliance systems.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, production-grade software solutions using Java
• Write clean, maintainable, and performant code, with comprehensive unit testing
• Participate actively in code reviews and design discussions to uphold engineering standards
• Collaborate with global development teams to foster a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing
• Partner closely with trading, sales, quantitative research, risk, compliance, and operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide second-line production support, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline
• Deep expertise in Core Java with strong multithreading and concurrency skills
• Solid experience with Linux environments and distributed file systems
• Strong understanding of financial derivatives — particularly in pricing, risk management, and order workflows
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for building scalable, high-performance systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with low-latency Java optimization, including garbage collection tuning
• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Solace, ZeroMQ, or similar
• Background in building distributed systems for trading or risk management
• Exposure to high-frequency or low-latency trading platforms
