Develop APIs, services, background workers, and MVC web applications
Design and build complex systems that can scale rapidly
Design, build, and maintain Kafka-based event processing services
Design and implement effective service/product interfaces
Develop and maintain application data models
Own larger, complex initiatives end-to-end
Collaborate with software and production engineers
Design and develop systems across all major departments
Lead technical design and architecture decisions
Modify and develop custom software patterns
Be accountable for the overall performance of products/services
Conduct code reviews, develop high-quality documentation, and build robust test suites
Provide technical leadership through mentoring, coaching, and feedback
Develop roadmaps and prioritize technical debt
Drive operational maturity
Handle multiple competing priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment

Minimum 8 years of experience building SaaS web applications using ASP.NET, C# and JavaScript and/or Python
Strong experience maintaining and extending an existing codebase
Strong experience integrating 3rd-party APIs, implementing authentication & authorization and developing asynchronous data flows
Strong experience publishing and consuming Kafka events
Strong experience developing unit and integration-tests
Strong experience integrating with cloud service (AWS)
Strong experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong experience with build & deployment automation (CI/CD) and release workflows
Strong SQL programming and data-layer development experience
Minimum 8 years of experience working with continuous integration and build tools
Expert in version control systems and branching/release strategies
Expert in software engineering tooling
Expert in release, builds, testing and the entirety of the SDLC
Expert at debugging distributed systems
Top notch communication skills
Experience architecting and designing systems from the ground up
Experience working with a geographically dispersed team

BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience preferred
12+ years desirable experience building SaaS web applications using ASP.NET, C# and JavaScript and/or Python
